Laughing, glad and full of glee, and it makes you happy. Mother Upduff is a flower of too much fun. Certainly the most rococo of my introductions, and naturally a favorite of the king of wretched excess himself, David Kirchhoff. But this ain”t no truffle! In this flower the midrib pinches so dramatically that the petals form huge ruffles from behind, which at first glance looks like a full double. Distinctive and dramatic, this delicate soft strawberry pink defies category. Mother Upduff has exemplary garden poise, the erect 30 inch scapes display wide three and four way branching. Fertile both ways and very limited.
